I guess to some it might be a strange question but I honestly haven't got a clue how to know if I am ovulating or not and when. Can anyone tell me?

Ovulation happens about 2 weeks before your next period starts. Some of the most common symptoms of ovulation are: mittleschmerz--pain and crampiness around one or both ovaries, increased sex drive, swollen labia, and the most obvious would be that your vaginal secretions feel very wet and slippery. If you were to check internally you would find your cervix to be SHOW--Soft, High, Open, and Wet. Your mucus is the consistancy of raw eggwhites.

The standard for most women is about 14 days or so after the first day of your last period. If you're trying to track it to know specifically there are over the counter tests that you can get to find out or you can take your morning tempature. It drops down just a little bit right before you ovulate and jumps by a few tenths of a degree the day you ovulate.
