everyone knows about vick, but do you think it would be the same situation with a white, more talented(in some people's belief) quarterback?

Heck no. They have a better public image than Vick does to begin with. It's not white or black, but Vick has brought alot of problems and controversy to himself over his career. And it would hurt their careers, but wouldn't be such a big deal.

Yes, I do. I really don't think the backlash against Vick is motivated by race. This is not to say that some people would give a white QB more slack, but it would be a small percentage. Most of the people who are very vocal in their dispersions of Vick are upset about the treatment of the dogs, it wouldn't matter to them what race the perpetrators are.

I think so, I think they would be looking at a few years if convicted it would be pretty difficult to come back after that. I dont think the NFL response is the same as it would be for a brady or manning as it is for vick, but that's not entirely motivated by race. When was the last time Brady or Manning gave his fans the finger when leaving the field.

You aren't trying to say this is racism are you? This is a silly question. Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, David Carr, Terrell Owens....ANYONE! If you're out there harming or killing animals, you're *** is gonna get slammed. Making millions or not. I hope Vick has to serve the whole 6 years, but everyone knows that because he is who he is he'll get off lighter.

Why are some trying to make this a white and black issue? If found guilty, Vick violated several state and federal laws. If found guilty he could face several years in prison, which would not be any different than if it were Brady or Manning in his shoes.

I almost feel that it might be even worse because they are such media darlings and then to be accused of such a heinous crime. America has put their trust onto these 2 icons and would feel so betrayed that they would never be able to shake it off, look at O.J. He was so famous that his race was very secondary to his perception in the USA. The hate generated by the alleged crime is due to a betrayal of an all-amercian dream image that was held of him by most of America. Same kind of thing with Pete Rose (although, being a much lesser crime, he is starting to get sympathy in many corners).

No I don't think this would be the end of their careers. The same way that you will see Vick back under center in the future. There are far to few athletes of Vick's level and that will bring him back into the NFL eventually.

It would probably be the same if not worse for them since they are bigger role models in society. Color has nothing to do with this crime, but the QB is a role model for a team and society. What you do off the field will show you true character.

Why do you have to play the race card?

And yes Brady,Manning, Warren Moon, and Doug Williams are better because they have more class.

Yes. It has absolutely nothing to do with the race. People hate people who kill dogs. It doesnt matter if they are male, female, black, white, gay, straight. Any player that gets involved in such a despicable buisness has ruined their career.
