Someone could be sending you the e-mail, but have a list of people who should be informed as a cc on that email that is pre populated or made up as a list, you are also on that list. Doing that saves time if there is a group of people who are to be informed of something.

Maybe they aren't computer savvy. It could also be that they were going to send it to someone else also and just put the wrong address in the CC field. A lot of people are lacking in netiquette so I wouldn't worry about it too much.

People have sent emails to me that never arrived or showed up hours after it should have. I suppose the idea would be that if the name in the To: box doesn't get it, maybe the person in the CC: box will. Just a guess. You'll have to ask the sender.

No good explanation I can think of. Many times people will send mail to themselves and then BCC to many other people to hide their friends addresses but I can't think of a reason to put your address in the to: and cc: fields.
????
It is unnecessary.

My best guess is that you are on two lists in the senders address book. Not careful emailing but there are not too many careful emailers (grin)
