Are the Testors airbrushes OK? Cost is important.

I have a Testors airbrush and it is OK, but not great. Most people who are serious say spending the money on a Pasche or Badger or more "serious" airbrush is worth it in the long run. I've only had a Testor so I can't give an opinion on that. It suits me fine, but it's not the best for fine lines or detail work.

However, the one thing I do recommend is don't go with the air cans, spend the money on a compressor. Unless you only think you will ever do just a couple models, the air cans get expensive quick.

I initially bought a cheap single-action, external mix airbrush and tore my HAIR out in frustration !!

My lil brother bought me a Testors, and it is OKAY... but not as good as the three Pasche brushes I have.

YES, a Pasche will run you $85 - $130... but it is WORTH it for their reliablity.

Also, like Tamiyaguy... I STRONGLY recommend buying a compressor ($150-200). Those air-cans are a rip-off !!
