my computer is hooked up to my brothers laptop using an RJ45 cable. Im trying to play Warcraft with him, but when I host a game, it doesnt appear on his screen.
how do i get it to work?

if it's not the IP address, check the firewall settings. that's usually the problem. make sure it's turned off.

You can have a LAN with Two computers and NOT use a Router.
You have to use a CROSS OVER cable between the two PC's.

Need to run a router in line to break the single between the two comps.... or do what Bill said

It may be IP problem ..check out they are proper or not n check out if you have created a network connection for lan......

make sure you're getting an IP address. also check the proxy and port settings. and IP/TCP properties.
