It has nothing to do with tradition, but I believe that there are physiological reasons why a woman should not be president.

No. I think the best person for the job should be in there, but chances of a woman making it is not good in such a misogynistic male dominated testosterone war driven fascist state as America is at this point. So, let the men continue to make a mess of things until they need serious help, or it is too late.

I will also state that almost any woman would have left America in better shape than the Bush and Clinton and Reagan creatures have.

Surely you cannot think that Bush does a great job just because he has an outtie?

The dumbest thing would be to vote that Hillary creature in because she wears pink suits and swears worse than most men on their worst days. Just because she LOOKS like a woman... sort of.

Oh Mandy, he didn't say anything about not electing someone of the opposite gender. He mentioned electing a woman. Come on, now.....stick to the question and not your personal agenda that deals with opposite genders.

For the asker of this question, I don't feel that not electing a woman for president is a tradition. I feel that it's just the right thing, especially for the upcoming presidential election. Mrs. Clinton needs to realize that she had her chance in the White House and she blew it. No, wait, that was Monica that blew it. Anyway, if ever there were an extremely qualified Republican female candidate, I might think about considering it. She would have to be a tough-as-nails beotch to get my vote, though. We can't have wimpy leadership.

This time around? I think so. I believe a woman can do a fantastic job in office once given the opportunity. A woman might be able to lead this country in better directions than we've been going. I just don't trust Hilary Clinton as far as I can throw her.

Maybe we need a woman in office to straighten this country up.

Im 34,never registered to vote but when a woman runs,I'll register and vote if I think she will do a good job.I wouldnt vote for a woman JUST because shes a woman but the best person for the job.

Oh, by all means...
At least until this next election is over.

btw...there is NO "tradition" that says we don't vote for a
woman President, it's just that so far no woman has come
forward with the qualifications required to hold that office...
including Mr. Hillary ("look at my cleavage") Clinton.

That isn't a tradition. Women have run for president in the past. It doesn't matter what gender the candidate is, as long as they get the job done.

does it really matter what gender or race we are?
as long as the candidate can do a good job at being president, then why not elect them?
