My myspace account was phished. Do I have to be worried about everything else on my computer, like personal info, credit card info, other passwords, and so on? What do I need to do besides changing my myspace password to protect myself?

You don't need to worry about any of the information on your computer unless you're using Myspace to send credit card information. The only thing you can do to prevent being phished again is change your password every few weeks.

no, you must have sent your password (on accident) to a sight that jumped in and looked like myspace. Usually, if you log in you may get a screen that says you need to log in again, it looks the same, but check out the address bar. Change your password on myspace, it will be fine (happened to me)

Na your other stuff will be ok from the myspace thing, but its not smart to have credit card stuff on the computer, or to shop online... online credit card theft is the highest right now among any other kind of identity theft.... so I'd deff clear everything off ur computer to be safe...

E-mail Tom. I don't think it's really been phished. That happened to me last month. Everything was cool.

I in basic terms published a query approximately that fifteen minutes in the past. i'm having the appropriate comparable concern. while i circulate to view a chum's weblog, that pops up, so I clicked on the link and it took me to the sign-in internet site. do no longer sign in! you do no longer might desire to be signed in only to view somebody's myspace (till that is on inner maximum). i'm hoping they restore that quickly. and that i'm hoping i did no longer do something stupid to furnish my password away, because of fact those "phishers" will deliver pornography to different places below your account. a minimum of that is in one case i've got heard. i think of somebody has hacked the finished Myspace internet site. I click the link, yet i do no longer sign in.
