Ok, so I'm not sure if my local McDonald's is charging right or not so I thought I would come on here and ask. Does McDonald's charge more for their "healthy" Happy Meal alternatives? For example if I get milk or apple juice with the Happy Meal instead of soda does it cost more? If I order apple slices instead of fries does the price go up? If so, shouldn't this be displayed on the board? I was under the impression that no matter the combination of items the price should be the same. For example a chicken nugget Happy Meal with fries and apple juice should be the same as chicken nuggets with chocolate milk and apple slices right? If the healthy foods cost more isn't that a deterrent to people buying them? Doesn't charging more for them just negate the fact that they're offering healthier choices?

I have never known a McDonalds to charge extra for apple slices and or milk/juice. You should contact headquarters for McDs because they might want to know that or at least they can tell you one way or the other what's right. Hey, you might get some free gift cards or something out of it.

The Mcdonalds food prices in Morocco were almost identical to the ones in the US, and consider how much cheaper labor is there that is ridiculous. Bad food for a high price, a person could order roasted chicken, bread, fries and a drink in a small restaurant in the same city and get a good meal and much more protein.

The Happy Meal price should be the same no matter what you choose as your drink and sides. However, where I live, different McDonald's stores charge different prices for their items.

I have three nieces so have gone to McDonald's quite a bit. I can go less than a mile to a different McDonald's and pay a higher price.

The drinks and the fries can be substituted for the same price. It costs more for nuggets than a burger, though.

they shouldnt be billing you extra because you can choose apple juice or milk instead of soda. and the apple slices is a side if you dont want fries.
