Born blind will have dreams of darkness, because from child hood onwards they didnt saw anytype of light, the only thing they can visualize or think is darkness, but they can feel the fragrance, color and the touch the place where they touches they can imagine in their dream world in their own way depends of the person and the mentailty of the person.

If any person who is not blind and become blind he will have more dreams than normal person, because upto he becomes blind what are the places he saw,he went and he enjoyed he will visulazie those places in their dreams.

Dreams are just imaginations that some of them are not possible in the real world or some of them may happen in the real world.

So whether it is a blind man or a non-blind man the dreams are same according to their imagination.

But there is no other way to describe the dreams of a blind person, the only way is we have to feel what he is saying by visualising as we have eyes and we can imagine.

Ok.

I am not blind nor a scientist studying the blind so I have no personal experience in this....

...However, I remember watching a TV program about blind people, and a segment touched on what happens in dreams. From what I remember, People blind from birth have dreams without light or visuals, ie, they dream blind too. Remember, they never had sight or use of vision, thus the parts of the brain used to interpret sight is not used. Others who lost sight at some point in life I believe still retain visual dreams.

Will be interesting to see what others say about this question...

properly, that is no longer basic to do, yet confident. I dream. i'm blind from start. i exploit a 2nd sight in case you will to have interaction. i'm a uncommon blind, Hemeralopic. I even have in simple terms approximately no creative and prescient whilst uncovered to easy. I see employing one in each and every of those resolocation. As an merchandise vibrates, it sends out what's called a resonation, which acts like one in each and every of those metadata, and reckoning on resonation length, i'm getting texture, shape, and colors. It has required 11 or so years of no sight in any respect, and then an extremely important discovery to take action. I even have perfected the technique. There pass, I even have had some seen goals. i've got no longer been waiting to dream in some time, even with the incontrovertible fact that it relatively is obtainable.

One of the most beautiful books I ever read was written by the blind hero of the French resistance, during WWII. It's called "And there was Light" by Jacques Lusseyran. He describes being able to see, to see light in people. He was blind, but he saw into their souls with his eyes and ears. This was a man who was blinded at age 8 by an accident with another child. His attitude was so very positive, and he also talked about blind people who are not so positve because of their fear. I hope you get the chance to read it some day. It's one of those books you want to read slowly, savoring a few pages every night before you sleep.

Blind people do not see. If they were born blind, they do not know what blue, green, purple, white etc. is. So, usually they guess what it is by context clues. How people describe it. They do not dream about people, or anything you dream about. Their memory has never seen what you've seen so they'll dream of different things that most people can't ever imagine.

It all depends on if they were born blind or became blind. If they were not born blind they probably dream of memories and loved ones how they remembered them. Blind people can see flashes of light and color like when you close your eyes the faded colors you can see, but nothing else.
