What are you saying?? I agree with Taiping. I read your other question and you were saying that it was brown on one side and silver on the other. I seriously doubt its a mint error it was done outside of the mint., it is probably just a damaged coin. If you could scan your coin and post a picture with your question it would be a lot easier to answer your question. so if I were to guess I would say that it is not a mint error. I hope this helps answer your question.

I didn't know you were an expert on the minting process, if so take it to a dealer and collect what you think it is worth. Good Luck. Why ask us if you know it all. You have a coin that was damaged after leaving the mint, if you are the person with the bronze as you say, coin. I believe it was a quarter and i told you what it was. By the way tarnish as you call it can actually eat into the coin, if it is caused by a chemical. Now go bother a coin dealer or two.

The best way to find out the value of your coin is to take it to a coin dealer. So much of value depends on the condition of your coin and the current market value. A dealer would be able to grade your coin and tell you the value.

Then why are you asking us. Take to an appraiser.
