It's worth at least what you paid for it. Kelley Blue Book says almost $5,500 retail and $3,600 trade in value here in Akron, Ohio. BUT a lot of people want a Harley and they can't afford $13 to $18,000 for one so they'll settle for a 5 to $7,000 older model just to own one. If you decide to sell start high and work your way down. What do have to lose? Good Luck

$500-$1000 Maybe up to $2500 if she had show potential. I am doubting she does though from her breed, age and previous training. She will probably be a trail/play day horse for the rest of her life which really doesnt go over well in my area. Pros: Shes broke Shes 15 hands She is kid safe She has OK conformation Cons: Mix breed Ex-barrel racer Head strong Common color Not particurally flashy Older (not really old but 16 scares a lot of people off) Just love her for what she is. The market sucks and horses like this get shipped to Canada and Mexico every day. EDIT: She is not underweight by the way. I would work on gaining muscle and loosing fat instead of gaining both.

A lot depends on which 76 it is. FX or FL. What's wrong with it? Where are you from? Selling a shovelhead is like selling a classic car; the ones who appreciate them are willing to spend the money but the RUBS that think it's an "old" or "outdated" or "obsolete" bike will say it's only worth $7000 or less. I myself would recommend selling it through Walneck's Cycle Trader and if you can get ahold of it, put an ad in Thunderpress or The Horse. Also, there's a lot of shops that only work on older bikes. Depending on what it is, they might take it. Of course, without seeing it, they can't tell you much. A lot depends on where, time of year and type of bike/condition/upgrades/how much is original. Let me know if you need help.

Not sure where you're located but outside of Alaska, horse prices are VERY low! Right now if you haul them to the Bakersfield Horse Auction, you could come out in the hole with their $50.00 per head charge! There are too many horses out there and feed is getting too high for a LOT of folks to afford. I just left a boarding stable that short fed my horses last month because they couldn't afford the feed apparently and that was with me bringing in EXTRA feed for the crew! Right now for a broke registered mare of that age (16) you can't get $1,500.00 even if she rode, I'm sorry to say. And with your mare needing weight, that's MORE money a new owner would have to put out, which would discourage purchasing...As they say, FAT on a horse, SELLS! Right now is NOT the time to sell a horse.

Keep it, S&S makes a 90 H.P. 93" crate motor for it and Baker sells a 5 speed that will fit in your 4 speed case.
