I'll be watching a video and then in about five minutes the video will freeze along with the computer. For some reason streaming a video uses 100% CPU usage... I have a gig of RAM and I know it's not buffer related because the whole video buffers in about a minute. Any suggestions please?

Another process could be running in the background and grabbing cpu resource. Open Task Manager. Run the video in reduced screen size mode. Observe Processes in Task Manager. Find out what unrelated process is using too much cpu resource. If it is not a system process, stop it then observe the result on video streaming.

It could be software has some corrupt files. Try removing the software and reloading it. That may solve the problem.
