Get the Harry Potter Scene It game, for starters. Also, write down a bunch of character's names on slips of paper and put them in a hat (it'd be really good if you could find one that looks like the sorting hat). When guests arrive, they'll draw out a character's name and have it attached to their back (without them having seen it). They can ask other guests yes or no questions to try and determine who they are. I think you can find recipes for "Potter-type" foods on mugglenet.com. That's a start!

First, when everybody gets there they draw a card. It can be either Slitheren or Gryffindor. Then, you could have a giant Battle of Hogwarts, (like in book 7) by using fake wands! Then, you could have all of your hallways dark and stuff, and your mom or dad could be Mr. Filch. To get the birthday cake, you have to not get caught by Mr. Filch. Then for presents, you could have some empty present boxes, and you would have to find the real present to get the present. (like in the 1st movie with the flying keys.) Then you could have the Triwizard tournaments, (sry, don't have any good ideas for those)If it is a sleepover you could settle down and watch a Harry potter movie.

you could get a Harry Potter pinata and make everyone come in costume then have a movie marathon and a trivia game and they sell HP party suppiles [hats, plates, napkins, cups, the works]. And like... you could get a box of roman candles, and go outside at night and set them off like your casting spells... and uhm.. *thinks* if everyone wears a HP costume you could go trick-or-treating. rofl. And then like, play games that are related to HP and do stuffs like that....
