already had it check by a mechanic and he couldn t find anything so 200.00 later he did only a tune up any thoughts on what it could be woul help

its a 2004 sunfire automatic and it just started doing this out of now where everything is up to date in the car like oil changes and tune up tires etc it all started yesterday

idle air control. some background on the car would help. if all else fails take the intake tube off and you will see a small hole int the throttle plate, you have to get some one to drill a larger hole there it will allow more air to enter at closed throttle and in turn more fuel. this is a common practice on mustangs that dont want to idle, and will only work on a fuel injected MAF system.

I don't know what car you have so I will give you what it can be. It could be your idle set screw. Turn it up a little. The mechanic might have turned it down of played with it. Second, it could be your timing is set to low.

it could possibly be anything. i dont have enough details to really tell u. it could be a bad mass airflow sensor, a bad crankshaft position sensor, a bad fuel filter, or pump, u know.. anything.. give me more details, like does it do it ll da time? and does it do it more on hot days, or cold days? and what kind of car is it?
