We have been TTC since Feb. I have been diag. with PCOS. I had my blood work on the 3rd day of my cycle and today the obgyn tells me that I can start the BC pill and metamorfin tomorrow. They say I take the BC pill for 2 months and the metamorfin until after I get pregnant. Ok so she says this can take up to a year to work and to get ovulation on track, but every time I feel that I am ovulating and take the test kit, I am. So I don't see how It will need to straighten anything out. I don't want to wait a year...LOL... I want to know if anyone has had to do all this and did not have to wait a year to get pregnant. I will wait as long as I have to I am just so eager to be a mother. We are in our 30's and we just really want this. Can anyone please give me some of you stories good or bad. Thanks to all in advance and BABY DUST TO ALL TTC!!!!

If you ovulate and have regular periods then there is no need for the birth control. And the metformin should only be given to PCOS patients who are insulin resistant--have you been tested?
If you have any doubts in your current doc then I strongly suggest you find another doc--one who is very familiar with PCOS patients.
