i was reading in a seventeen mag and it was listing all the kind of jeans for your body type and it listed 'petite' and im not sure what that means help

It means that the sleeves, pants, and shirts are all shorter than the regular clothes. I think the pants generaly have a 30" inseam. Of course, if you are small enough to be looking at the petites (like me), you will find that the petites section is not petite enough.
