Platies and swordtails are herbevore so I recomend to feed them flake foods. They have small mouth. Also if you have those who were enriched with Spirullina, the better to make them have more colors. Oh your gold fish will also benefit with this.

The rule in aquarium is 1-inch of fish for a gallon. Too many fish will be very bad for the tanks bioload. High ammonia and nitrate level will poison the tank.

Don't crowd the fish into a small tank.
Don't over-feed.
Don't cut corners on fish food,Goldfish food is for Goldfish, and probably not nutritionally dense enough for Platys or Mollies.
Try providing some live plant material for the live-bearers.(Blanched Zucchini, summer squash,Lettuce,or spinach). They will graze on it continuously. Just be sure and remove the left-overs before they spoil.
Two trios of Mollies or Platys would be plenty for a 10 gallon tank. They might look lonesome at first, but they will go right to work over-populating the tank.

Platies and mollies aren't cold water fish. They are tropical and live in water with a temperature of 70-80 degrees. But your other question is correct, you can feed platies and molies goldfish flakes. Thats what I do with my platies. And if you want your platies to be happy in a 10-gallon tank, don't put more than 4 platies in it.

Mollies are goldfish, they are not tropical. so which you need to be feeding your molly goldfish food, it is going to LOVE being at your persons abode. And in the event that they get alongside they're going to omit one yet another & your Molly will omit being out ingredient. additionally possibly you need to swap your mollies food, opportunities are high he won't circulate lower back to tropical.

Tropical fish foods would be more appropriate as well as suppliments (or treats) like blood worms or brine shrimp.
if you are varying their diet you can certainly use up the goldfish food as part of their diet
