hello i have been getting ripped off by all these so called talent agencies ,pro scoutt,explore talent,instant cast etc.all they want is my credit card number,somebody please help me ,tell me how can i find casting calls and agents without them asking for my credit card number and what can i do to launch my acting career path,time is passing and i'm getting older and i want to do this while i'm still young and energetic so please tell me how and what i need to do......thanx in advance

Join a local theater troupe and get a legitimate agent. Have them book your casting calls and auditions. You must stop trying to do it on your own, it's almost impossible without a well connected agent, so be ready to pay for it.

If you don't know how to find a Talent Agent, ask your actor friends.
If you live in NYC, buy a copy of The Ross Reports, it costs about $15 and can be bought at The Drama Book Store in NYC.
It lists names and addresses of Talent Agencies in NYC and L.A. If you are in L.A., you can buy it at any large newstand.
