I did this once or twice. Only because the book was boring and I couldn't force myself to go on, it was putting me to sleep. Have you ever done this?

Yes, just once, it was Charles Dickens's, David Copperfield.
The only time I did. The story was not bad, but it was much too wordy, and after days of trying to read this gigantic book, the story really was not not worth all of the words, I gave up, shut the book and never looked back..

Have I ever! The only books I actually did complete was the Narnia series, but other than that, I have 3 books stacked on my dresser right now. One I started and got halfway thru, one I leafed thru, and one has not even been looked at. I was the same way in high school so I'm sure there's some sort of ADHD going on there (of course back then they didn't call it that).

I believe that life is too short to waste time on bad books. If a book doesn't hold my attention after 50 - 100 pgs then I'll stop reading it and go one to something else.

I used to force myself to finish every book I read but it just became too grueling and there is way too many great books out there to waste time on the bad ones!

Out of the hundreds of books I read a year, the only one I never finished was "War and Peace" because I just couldn't get into it.

With all of my school books, yes. As for the others, I just don't have the time to finish them.

Only with "The Drowning People" by Richard Mason. I still have the book, just in case. It bored me to tears so I doubt I'll ever finish it!

Sometimes it's a really boring book I got from the library that seemed interesting at first but then a week later I just return it.

Yes. I've done it a few times. Sometimes because the book was boring, and sometimes because I just didn't have time.

Plenty of books. Especially during college. The reading material was so boring. Shakespeare, no one talks like that in this day and age.

No ... there is one e book I even have been no longer able to end because of the fact I in simple terms could no longer get into it even with the incontrovertible fact that. Nick Tosches - interior the Hand of Dante... I even have tried numerous circumstances yet I in simple terms can't get into that e book. I gave up approximately midway by using. perhaps sooner or later ... Pax - C
