Electric brakes, sway bars, & what else will need to pull a 23' to a 26'. My truck is an 03. Strong, but is it strong enough? What more should I know?

I really do not know but I would call your local Mazda dealer and ask what size would be good. I would say a small camper that folds up kind might work but to be sure I would call your Mazda dealer and ask them this question.

Don't buy the trailer until you know for sure and talk to the trailer people too. I hope this helps.

A large portion of a valid answer would be determined by how fast do you want to go and what transmission do you have.
I just towed a 1200 lb trailer to WV to Neb with an MX-5. But I had to drive at night to keep from over heating the engine and restricted speed. I also have a manual transmission otherwise I would of never considered the trip.
Two thirds of the trailer weight needs to be on the tongue, and the suspension needs to be beefed up to handle the extra weight. The cooling system will need to be up-graded (oil cooler and larger radiator).
Also the right trailer hitch for the load of course.
When towing, remember that you need to double stopping distance and that slow acceleration is the order of the day.

What you need to look at it tongue weight and draw weight. What this means is can your truck handle the tongue weight first and then can it handle to draw weight of the trailer. I am going to say no way. especially with a stock bumper. Now with a class 2 or 3 reciever hitch it could handle the tongue weight but the draw weight of that trailer I dont think it will pull it and you deffinalty do not want to be going up a hill and realize this
