When was the first time that you realized that you were dead?

I have died a multitude of deaths. Each night as I fall asleep, I lose consciousness. I don't think, therefore I am not. My mind dies a death each night in sleep and then is reborn the next morning.

I would say this realization came about in the past 10 years.

This question possibly implies that when you "are" dead you do not have the ability to know that you "are" dead, but then sometime after you regain life and become alive, you realize that you "were" dead. Along the same line the question implies that the transition from life to death, and back to life happens multiple times, through the statement, "first time that you..."

Maybe i read into the question a bit to much... However, now that I think about it, I may just as well have been dead yesterday, so this would be my first time... :)

I think I was about ten; that was when my vitiligo showed up on my groin, I said to my self 'I'm dead, my life is over'; it is a genetic disorder.

I dont get it. Do you actually believe that youre dead?

Or are you trying to bring into question the definition of life and/or question our existential awareness and its implications?

I was dead since the time I was born, but by Jesus' Death and ressurection I am alive. Sin had its way with me but God woke me up.
