how do you fuse in dragon ball z budokai tenkaichi 2?

i tried taking kid goten and trunks to fuse and didnt get any results i dont know the buttons to do it though

You first have to unlock gotenks. Then on tag team select both goten and trunks in your team. Check the moves list and it will tell you the requirements to fuse them.

First make sure you actually unlocked gotenks. Go to tag battle and choose goten and kid trunks. When you get 3, 4, or 5 blast stocks you can press L3+R3+L2. You can also go directly to ssj1/3 by using the directional buttons.

Base gotenks=3 blast stocks
ssj1 gotenks=4 BS
ssj3 gotenks=5 blast stocks.
