Believe me, no one can treat you badly or cause you feel bad unless you "accept". So, all you want to do is accept your self and be proud and confidence about your self.

How one reacts is their own individual reaction. However, it seems you are asking "how would I feel if a friend treated me like a fool?"
Like my father always said "It is better to remain quiet and have others *think* you are a fool, than open your mouth, and remove all doubt" Which means, the more a person keeps 'talking' they will reveal they know nothing and everyone will know they are a bullsh!tter and a fool. Those who are quiet, and reserve their speech, often look like the wisest people in the room.
So, I would remain quiet around that person. They'll make themselves look like the fool.

The same thing's happened to me too: except I was that "friend".
I really didn't know I was doing it until my friend practically yelled, "why do you never take me seriously?!" I was so surprised by how pissed off he was...
It's very possible that your friend doesn't even know how crappy he/she is making you feel. Try talking to that person about it.
Feeling like a fool is never a good thing, but remember that there isn't any way you SHOULD react to the situation. Only you know your friend and how he or she is making you feel...

well it really depends on how close u r to this friend. If u had a close relationship then it was probably a joke and they didn't realize that they hurt u and u should probably tell them ur hurt. But if u just met say like a year and ur not as close then it could of been intentional. I would also tell them to knock it off. Act like it doesn't bother u in public but when ur around her make it look like ur hurt. I do it all the time!!

You should not deny that they have treated you bady or that your feelings matter becuase they DO matter. I have had friends who have treated me like I was a fool now I would recognise it for what it is and would probably be pretty shocked and upset but I would NOT carry on allowing them to be my friend they would no longer be worthy of the title

That is not 2 much of an friend. I will serve them with a long silver spoon baby. I will take myself out of the equation of being the friend. If questioned about my changed of attitude I will say the same reason ur's have changed.I would not explain myself @ all give them something 2 think about.

Well firstly ...don't react ...respond....reacting usually means the one reacting saying unconsidered statements or doing unhelpful actions...one may ask gently ..why are you treating me this way ...do you think i am being foolish ? ....listen and consider the response (it maybe you are being foolish).. find the root of the problem... either adjust or leave your friend ....
Remember no one can make you feel foolish without your permission .....

If it is a one time event, talk to them and let them know that you felt hurt in the situation.
If it is a recurring event, and you have let the person know how you feel; that person is not a friend. they have issues of bullying, anger, and control. Spend more time with other friends, and less time with that person.
