A couple of my guy friends were talking about "the biker who drew the most important walk in team history". Not wanting to brightline my ignorance, I didn't ask who. Anyone know who and what this is?

They were also discussing their hated Yankees, so it might be about them.....?

I've never heard the phrase, but it's probably Kevin Millar.

17-Oct-2004, American League Championship Series, Yankees leading the Series three games to zero, and leading Game 4, 4-3, heading into the bottom of the ninth. Yankees ace closer Mariano Rivera on the mound, needing three outs to send the Yankees back to the World Series.

Millar drew a walk to lead off the bottom of the ninth. Dave Roberts pinch-ran, stole second, scored the tying run when Bill Mueller singled next, and the Sox stayed alive into extra innings. David Ortiz ended it with a home run in the bottom of the 12th, giving the Red Sox another day. Boston then won three straight, knocking out the Yankees in what is now known as The Greatest Choke In Baseball History (no team had ever come back from an 0-3 playoff series deficit before), and then swept the Cardinals in the World Series to claim the championship, break a drought of 86 years, and end a frankly irritating myth about a curse.

So, yeah, that walk that Millar took was rather key.
