i don't really understand that myself...i have seen some very harsh things...i have even said things that have upset people without meaning to but just being honest...it's hard when you have such a variety of people and not everything you say is taken in the context it is meant...on the other hand...there are cruel people...

One need not be heartless to seem to not care. Mr. B may expect others to react like puppets on the string of his emotions or thoughts - and when they don't, consider them uncaring or heartless. Certainly they may be - but also they may be responding quite appropriately in their own mind. The issue is really - are they listening? We all owe that to each other.

Heartless? Well, I'm fine with that judgment. People who are concerned with the thoughts of others experience tremendous emotional suffering.
Thoughts are transitory. Thoughts are impermanent. Some of the things that I thought about 10 years ago are different than my thoughts today. I hope you never get caught up in what I'm thinking or what I'm thinking about you. That would be such a waste of enjoyment in your life.

Selfishness my friend. People just want to think of themselves without caring for others. Thew wanted to enrich themselves only even if they could harm other people. They don't care much of others but to pursue their own self-interest.
