did u read all of the books? Ginny and Harry got together in book 6 and i think he said it was the happiest he had ever been. and ur right he had a crush on cho but he loves ginny, he only broke it off for fear of her being tortured or killed by Voldemort because she was so important to him. he thought about her all through book 7 and in book 6 too before they got together he was super jealous.
and Cho never told Umbridge about the DA in the books, it was her best friend Marietta. the movie added that part because it was easier.

Because pretty all what Cho cared about was talking about Cedric and that made Harry as if she liked Cedric more than him. Harry has always liked Ginny deep inside, but didn't realize he liked her until he saw her kissing Dean. Harry after a while finally admitted he liked Ginny. Once they were finally going out he figured out that he loved her and pained him much to say good- bye in the end. I am assuming that they got together after the big battle and got married.

Well Cho was just a girl he liked, but he started liking Ginny in the sixth book and from then on... and things seemed much more serious between Harry and Ginny than before, between him and Cho. And personally I like Ginny better anyways... :P

Harry eventually drifts away from Cho, and in the sixth book,
Harry and Ginny develope feelings for each other. They get even more together in the last book. Harry and Cho never had a serious relationship.

well he did like cho but then when he went out with her there was basically just no spark. so when he and cho broke it off he noticed how much it bothered him that ginny had boyfriends and he finally realised that he liked ginny. so then he ends up going out with ginny and they break it off because harry doesnt want to endanger ginny with voldemort and then thye kind of get back together in the last book and they get married in the end. he simply loved ginny where as he liked cho. <3 :)

He didn't love Cho as much. And even so, marrying Ginny was highly unrealistic, one breakup and his next love is the one he ends up marrying? Wish that could happen for all of us now don't we? (same with Ron and Hermione, by the way)

Ginny represents the author, J.K. Rowling. Ginny is symbolic of the quiet girl that comes into her own, and attracts a strong man on the basis of personality and intelligence. Cho represents the exotic woman that every girl is jealous of. It's Rowling's way of winning her pefect man.
