I purchased a new cellular phone contract from them 3 months ago. I asked for roadside assistance and the 350 minute package.
I loaned my daughter the phone so she was safe driving to and from her new job.
My 1st bill came and was $180 bucks. I could not imagine why the bill was so high, so I called Verizon and they told me my daughter was text messaging.
I was upset that the bill was so high and told them to get the text message off my phone. The Verizon rep was very kind and told me she would remove it so my daughter could not use it any longer and gave me a $25 credit for my bill. My daughter had only made about 1 hours total worth of phone calls.
This month the bill came and was over $280 bucks. I called Verizon back and they told me it was text messaging and also said I was paying by the text. I told the man I requested it be removed from my bill, He said I changed the contract and she was still able to text. Whats the deal?

You need to request having text messaging blocked on that phone, inbound and outbound. Even if you have no package a user can text at the ala carte rate of 15c/msg. And your phone will get charged for incoming texts which you may have no control over (unless she subscribed to one of those inbound text message bots).

Either that or subscribe to a Select or Premium package. Granted, it's at least $30 more/month than the Basic you've got, but at least the texting is unlimited, meaning your costs will be more fixed.

Sorry you're having these problems. I've been subscribed to VZW for 5 yrs and, except for a few customer service glitches which were easily resolved, have been happy with their service.

The key is to drop verizon, they have great service when it comes to signals, but they charge an arm and a leg. Right now I have verizon and my bill was huge even after just use on the nights and weekends, so just pay the huge fee of getting out of your contract and you'll save alot more in the long run try alltel wireless you can change your plan over there.

I used to work there and if they made a mistake on txt removal you have a good argument and you can have credit.
call back and tell them you want a supervisor. do not even deal with the regular CS. Then stay calm and explain the story just like you did in your narrative. you can get this back.
It is called a rework. It may take 48 hours. Also ensure the text is blocked this time. Have them block all feautres.
You will do fine.
