It's totally normal. Morning sickness isn't exactly the same for everyone. Nausea is also a form of morning sickness. I never vomited either, but I sure felt like it most of the time. And for me, morning sickness happened at night... I was never sick during the day. So you see it's different for all women.

The pains in your abdomen are normal. Your uterus, muscles, and ligaments are stretching out to accommodate the baby for later. Even some cramping is considered normal.

It sounds like you're right on schedule :)

Good luck and congrats.

It is for some - I'm pregnant with our third and for the third time have no symptoms. You might try snacking on a regular basis to help with the nausea - even keep some crackers by the bed for when you wake up in the morning. The shooting pains could be things starting to stretch out but if you are concerned, call the OB and ask to be seen. That's what they're there for! Best of luck!

Morning sickness doesn't always mean throwing up. You can either always feel sick to your stomach or vomiting. I am currently 8 weeks pregnant & I've only thrown up once. The rest of the time I ALWAYS feel nauseous. If the pains in your stomach are too bad, I would get to the doctors. It could maybe be gas pains or because your uterus & muscles are stretching to make room for the baby as it grows. Congrats & good luck!

If you get nautious every morning and don't throw up thats still morning sickness its different for everyone. However shooting pains could just be muscles stretching. I had them so bad i thought i had appendacitis!! Its probably nothing but the best way to find out is to go see your dr. That way you don't have to worry!!!!Your not throwing up is very normal my sil and my friend both didnt throw up at all during thier pregnancy.. However i was so sick i endedup in the hospital from dehydration.

Don't worry, some women never get morning sickness at all! You make feel nausea but never throw up. Its totally normal. The shooting pains you are feeling are probably your uterus stretching, it has a long ways to go to make enough room for a precious baby to fit into. If you are really worried call your local doctor, you can ask to see them or even ask them your concerns over the phone. Good luck!

Call your doctor about the shooting pains. The nausea when you first wake up is probably because you haven't eaten all night. Maybe eat a few crackers when you first wake up and see if it gets better after that.

Also dehydration can cause cramps. Try drinking more water.

yes as long as your pains don't bring bleeding or spotting. I to had no morning sickness just twisted tummy feelings and headaches. If you ever feel really concerned call your doc I know they don't mind even is its late thats how they get paid ya know! Also your tummy could hurt because its growing and stretretching, good luck

I have had three children, not once did I have "morning sickness". I never threw up with any of them. Shooting pains in your stomach is normal if this is your first and you're smaller boned/framed. It's from your body getting ready to accomodate a growing child...lol, trust me, it only gets worse.

Sounds pretty normal. The shooting pains are probably your uterus expanding, if youve never had bad period cramps you would probably describe them as shooting pains.

If you're concerned call your doctor.
