My 7th grade band trip to a waterpark

So many people did not bother with sunscreen.

So, yes. It has to do with UV rays coming through the clouds, I believe.

Yes. Tanning is your body's response to the Sun's ultraviolet radiation. There are 3 UV bands (UVA, UVB, UVC), but only two aren't absorbed by the Ozone layer (UVA and UVB).

On a cloudy day, up to 80% of UVA and UVB radiation still hits the ground.

Yes! UV rays are actually magnified on cloudy days, so you have to be careful, but it is definitely possible to tan.

Yep. It all has to do with the UV index. Check out weather.com to get the UV index for that day. Even if it's cloudy you can still burn or tan.

it depends on how much cloudy..

if sunshine still passes through, even though a bit, you still could get a tan.
but if it's like rainy cloudy, then i would say you wouldn't get a tan.

yea, and sometimes the sunburn can be worse or gotten faster bc it is cloudy. when its cloudy there is more moisture in the air and the sunlight although dimmed is going through partials of water that can magnify the sunlight

The UV rays still get past clouds so be sure to wear tanning lotion so you dont burn yourself. hope you get a nice tan :)
