I know Karl Rove certainly isn't. His actions are consistently contrary to the teachings Christianity and the fact that Bush kept a manlike that as a key advisor all these years speaks poorly of Bush and the faith he professes.

I think it is a little of both at times, and right now, I would say the man is more religious than showman. I believe Bill and Hillary think hat church is a waste of time except that most Americans believe in God, and such an admitted overt attitude would not do well politically. Most Dems, not all, but most I have met believe that God is an evil construct of humans that is used for the purpose of creating more war. To them, he not only does not exist, but the very mention of him is pain full to them. I do have to pat myself on the back though. I once convinced a liberal that it would be far too expensive to recall ALL US currency so that it could be reissued without "in God we trust"

I doubt either party is really interested in representing their religious supporters.

Do you think Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton use religion as a tool?

Jesse Jackson for instance is amongst the current Hugo Chavez huggers on the far left. That puts him in the same category as Spiccoli er I mean Sean Penn who was just there hugging Hugo today.

Tool 100% they would never allow a truely religious man in position of power for fear that his faith might constrain his ability to descions and go to war, or fund waepons programs etc. the influance of Leo Strauss is in all of the neo-con/ republican policy.
