It depends on what I'm going through at the time. For instance, when I was breaking up with a boyfriend, U2's "With or Without You" was the saddest song. The sound of "Bittersweet Symphony" is sad for me too, as is "The Freshman."

Saddest song I ever heard was "Southern Dixie Flyer" by Marty Robbins. Sings about how he met a lady who was sending her dead, 16 year old daughter, home to be buried beside her father but she didn't have the money for a ticket to accompany her. The train whistle alone will pull tears from your eyes.

its a really sad song. you'll like it if you're a hawthorne heights fan. its about a boy who is really into a girl, maybe in love with her; and it's a mutual feeling. But either the boy is in a relationship right now and can't leave it for some reason, or there is something else keeping them apart even though they really want to be together.

its newer. My interpretation of this song is about either a girlfriend or a family member who may be sick, or losing hope, or leaving..and its about him saying that no matter what is going on, even if it kills him, he's going to stay right there with them until they're better/happy.

it's about well...having cancer...

Those two songs always make me cry for some reason. Never Too Late makes me cry more easily though. Stupid best friends.

to me this is the saddest song because it was the only song to be played in this espoide of one tree hill where this kid shot himself and i have never cried due to a movie or tv but this one scene with this one song brought me to tears

strange question, but i don't think that i can point out a song, but it really doesn't have to do with the lyrics (although still important) just the personality and mood it gives off can make me cry on the spot kinda strange but i just couldn't help it. i guess you have to come across those types of songs
