I was " laundry day" once. I bought a cheap rectangular laundry basket and cut out the bottom. I pegged old socks and some empty laundry soap boxes into the tub. I wore an old sweatshirt and had clothesline tied from one wrist to the other. If you're having cocktails, it makes a nice resting point too. Very clean costume!

"Cereal" killer is really easy. Empty cereal box tied hanging from around the head with a plastic silverware knife through it.

I was holy **** last year.... had a burlap sack and made a cardboard cross covered with tinfoil for the cross and had some toilet paper hanging off. Got lots of laughs when the adults heard me telling the kiddos that I was a buffalo!

A bit more obscene..... Once I was a "male member"... had a pink blanket sewed into a tube with a matching pink rounded hat, and wore those pink punching balls on both hips.

I always liked the Charlie Brown ghost costume - white bed sheet with a bunch of eye holes cut all over it. I've gotten lots of laughs at parties where everyone is my age.

Original?
A stick-figure! (Lol)
Dress all in black and then punch 2 eyeholes in a white paper plate and 2 smaller holes either side with string through it so you can tie it to your face like a mask!
...well, its an idea ^^;;....
