Sounds like the cabin air intake is letting water get into the car. There's suppose to be a low spot in the intake with a drain valve for water so it doesn't get into the car. the valve is either clogged or defective. Dealer should be able to fix it.

Obviously if if a drip is happening and making the floor wet in the rain, there MUST be a leak. You will have to isolate the source.Get a buddy to spray a garden hose on the suspect areas of the cars exterior whist you are observing the under dash area from inside the car with a flashlight. It will take some time for the leak to become apparent, but once it is isolated, repairs can be made easily by sealing the opening with a sealant such as clear RTV silicone.

I had a similar problem to this on my old peugeot 305, although not the same car the symptoms were the same.
i carried out all the checks that you have and all looked ok, i finally found the problem, the air intake just in front of the windscreen has a drainage sump on the passenger side of the car and this has a rubber hose that passes through the bulkhead into the nearside front wheel arch. the sump area had at some time got filled with leaves and they had held water and provided a place for rust to start around the collar of the air intake sump, this rust caused very minute pinholes and hence the water leaking into the car,
i cured my problem by cleaning out the sump area, skimming the inside with a small skim of body filler to fill the pin pricks and then coating the inside of this air intake with car body underseal, this cured the problem until i finally got rid of the car after a further 8 years

Did you have the AC on (or defroster, most of them use the ac also) If so, the humidity condenses on the cold coils. It should drain through an opening in the firewall but if the opening clogs it can leak inside. Not sure where the drain would be on the Peugeot.

Did you go through a Ford while it was flooded? Happened to my Fiesta but go dry later... You sure there are no leaks in the roof since rain can hardly cause a FLOOR to drip. Sounds weird.

It is probably a blocked drain at the bottom of the heater/ventilation unit. If the drain is blocked, rain water cannot drain out of the unit - it fills up until the water level reaches the lowest outlet, which is generally the front passenger footwell outlet.

Hi John. I had exactly the same problem with a 306 a couple of years ago, after much messing around I finally traced it to the windscreen sealing rubber.

Only when it rains? if not check for engine coolant.
When it is dry inside and out try putting down grocery type paper down so at least you will get some indication of There direction it came from. Then use a garden hose to wet a specific area.

There is either a leak somewhere or your heater core is out. The leak may be as small as a broken weld on the door or quarter panel.
