There is nowhere you can sign up for those unless they have an open call, which is not very often. An agent may help, there was an audition I just submitted my son for, for a disney commercial.

Hi,

Nicole has some pretty good things to say; things that make a lot of sense.

You will drastically improve your chances if you do the NECESSARY things first.

I have written a book and built a page for new actors. First of all, I invite you to download my free ebook called What It Takes To Become An Actor. Just go to http://www.actingcareerstartup.com , sign in and you can download it for free.

The second thing that directly has to dow with your question is a page that I built on my site: http://www.actingcareerstartup.com/acting_on_disney_channel.html

Those two things will help you. There is no quick fix. You have to sew your oats as we used to say.

Good luck to you and if you need more help, let me know.

Many people in here seem reluctant to take the good advice about studying your craft and becoming a skilled actor before embarking on a professional career, but you sound like you are willing to embark on this path. You could always try doing some extra work and see if you like being on a set, can handle the ego-maniacs, working conditions, long hours day and night in any kind of weather, did I mention ego-maniacs? It can be a wake up call for sure!

Here is the company that casts ALL of the backround actors for Hannah Montana, as well as all of the Disney Channel shows. They are the largest extras casting company in the world. (all of the info needed to register is on the site):

Disney Channel has Talent Searches occasionally, such as this one last November:

http://apsc.disney.go.com/disneychannel/...

People have been posting the following website, however it is NOT for Disney Channel auditions. It is ONLY for jobs at Disneyland, Walt Disney World Resort, Disney Cruise Line, Tokyo Disneyland, and Hong Kong Disneyland:

http://corporate.disney.go.com/auditions...

The "Disney Channel Talent Search 2007" in the UK is just about wrapped up.

There are NO current Disney Channel Open Calls scheduled.

Currently the casting of the shows on the Disney Channel are being conducted through standard industry procedures. The locations of Casting Offices for Disney Channel Productions are not released to the general public.

These are the Casting Directors that were used for the 2006 - 2007 seasons of Hannah Montana:

Carol Goldwasser (6 episodes, 2006-2007)
Howard Meltzer (6 episodes, 2006-2007)
Lisa London (2 episodes, 2006)
Catherine Stroud (2 episodes, 2006)

FYI They do not open unsolicited submissions from actors, they only accept official submissions in response to the character breakdowns, and only from agents.

Unfortunately in this day and age, an actor can't pick and choose if they want to do Film, TV, Commercials, be on the Disney Channel, or whatever. You have to take what you can get.

Anyways, I grew up on the same street as actor Eric Stoltz. When he was your age, he did school plays. But his parents supported him BIG TIME and paved the way for him. But the big break for Eric was when he joined the Santa Barbara Youth Theater Group. It was popular for Casting People, Agents, etc., to come to Santa Barbara and see the plays. Several actors got started there including Anthony Edwards (ER), Kathleen Wilhoite, and Kady Huffman (Tony Award Winner). You should seriously consider joining a youth theater group in your area, along with your school theater.

How Films and TV Shows are Cast

The Film and Television Studios give the "green light" for movies and TV shows to be produced. Then the production companies hire casting directors, who in turn send out "breakdowns" of the characters being cast. These "breakdowns" actually are sent out by a service called "Breakdown Services" and are only available to licensed Talent Agencies. Then the agents at these agencies submit photos, resumes, and sometimes "demo-reels" to the casting directors. Then the casting directors call in the actors that fit the roles they are casting, usually many many actors are called in. Then they narrow it down to the best actors who came in and "call back" these actors to read again for the director, sometimes the writer, producer,etc.. Then they narrow it down further, and sometimes there are 3 - 4 "call backs" before an actor is finally hired.

auditions like this happen occasionally, but the best way to audition is by going directly to hollywood . i don't really know the exact location, but i'm 100% sure it's over there

You don't sign-up. Are you in L.A.? If you are, your talent agent can submit you for an audition, if there is a role that is right for you. Talk to your agent about it.
