"i dont remember the dems doing anything for the farmers"
i hear conservative hosts complaining about high corn prices and "blaming" the dems for it
so does this mean farmers should thank the dems???

Why are urban areas blue? Haven't the Dems screwed them up enough?
It has to do with value systems. The mid-west and the south have more of a conservative-traditional value system, where as the urban areas and the coasts have more of a liberal secular-progressive value system.

What have the democrats every REALLY done for anyone in recent years? Johnson's great society created a dependent class that has destroyed an entire segment of the population. Democrats keep wanting to set prices and set wages without considering what that does to the economy. You set prices, you set wages, the economy adjusts so that you're constantly back where you started. The market, letting the market control these things is the only way to maintain a stable, healthy economy. It's been proven time and again. There will be good years and bad, but this is unavoidable, even with government intervention. They can't yet control the weather and the rain.
By the way, corn prices are high because of ethanol. Food prices are high because of corn prices and fuel prices. I don't blame democrats, I blame the ignorance of government. But in answer to your question, not all farmers grow corn. Those that don't, pay the same higher prices that the rest of us do. So thanks government.

The reason that the red states are red is not because of the farms but that red staters tend to live a more traditional, religious lifestyle and this attracts them to a Republican base unlike the blue states which usually contain big cities where the lifestyle is more fast paced, less religiously structured,constantly changing. The people who live this lifestyle are attracted to a more Democratic base.

The only thing libs are interested in doing for red states is turning them into blue states or in other words big cities.
First they come in with their adult video stores and strip clubs. The next thing you know you've got homeless people and prostitutes. Then they take over city hall with liberals who start planning their city. They chop down all of the trees and do away with all of the farm lands and put up a big nasty fugly city and then crime takes over from there followed by organized crime.
Environmentalists indeed.

Rural areas tend to consist of more people with conservative values, people who are not looking for social programs. People who believe in strong national defense and supporting our military efforts, not rooting against them.
I live in a rural "red" zone and most people are respectful and responsible for themselves. There is a city at the heart of our county which is a very "blue" city. It sucks up more of our rural tax dollars, and has (even per capita), most of the crime, corruption, illegal immigration, non-tax paying properties and blatant low morals than all rural municipalities combined.
I think of the US of A being founded by the types of people who live in my "red" zone more so than by the loads of loads clogging up this and most other big cities.

Rural areas generally have citiczens with less advanced (i.e. university) education and are more religious, whereas urban cities are generally more Democratic because they are largely made up of minorities with lower incomes. That's why Dems traditionally get California (LA), New York (NYC), and Illinois (Chicago).

There are not enough people in the rural areas for the dems to give away things too. Hence the rural areas are mostly right wing gun toters, like me!

my brother only way ANY of us americans are going get paid the real stuff is if a democrat was in office. Cant you see Bush is hogging all the wealth control the fuel bill raising gas prices for no reason at all. Democrats will send americans back to work and give us the american flag back were under a nazi government
