yes. plain and simple.
I'm sure it isn't for the people, it's for those rich bastids to frigging collect all the cash they can, and be greedy. us, as people, are invisible to the feelings of what it's like to be rich, and live rich lifestyles, and wear prada, and all that jazz. you've seen hollywood haven't ya? they aren't hurting for cash over there....

Lets see, we had the President say we had health insurance for everyone because they could always use the emergency room. A facility that will bill you almost a thousand dollars which you have to pay. Its not free. Bush doesn't know whats going on. I'd say that ordinary people only count as votes.
Are our troops invisible?
Tony Snow, latest press secretary for Bush was asked if he thought it was a good idea that the Iraqi government was leaving for a month long vacation. His reply?
It like a hundred and thirty degrees out there in August, they deserve a break.
Oh...and its cooler when you are wearing full battle gear?
Snow never even considered the fact that its Americans who are putting their lives on the line for this vacationing government.
We used to be a well governed country, lately, I've had my doubts.

What exactly do you want the President to do? Show up on your doorstep and give you a job/house/money? In case you haven't paid much attention recently, many things that the President has done cater to our needs. Tax cuts, Medicare, etc. are all for the people. You should not be asking about the President, you should be asking about CONGRESS. It is the House and the Senate that pass the bills for the President's consideration, so anything that could potentially benefit us has to go through there first. And a lot of what Congress does does NOT hold our best interests in mind. I site the Alaskan Bridge to Nowhere, or anything Newt Gingrich has ever done. Read Dave Barry's "Hits Below the Beltway". It may be mostly humor, but there is some interesting material on Congressional spending.

The entire population, legal citizens and legal immigrants, are INVISIBLE to the ENTIRE government!

We are no longer represented by those we elect. They all have their own agendas they follow, usually along their party lines. Once an elected official gets inside the beltway of Washington, D.C., he or she loses contact with those that put them there!

And the bureaucracies ... let's not EVEN go THERE!!

RE-ELECT NOBODY!!!!

not just the president but congress too. they certainly didn't listen when the average American majority said we want our borders secured. a new Bush-Kennedy amendment for amnesty will be put before congress again when they return from their vacation.

they are meeting pretty much under our radar for globalization of American with the NAU making us one big country modeled after the EU plan and with the 'Americo' to be the legal tender like the 'Euro'.

i think while they may appear to argue in public, like trial lawyers after a trail, they are in it together at our expense.

I got some news for you my friend. It isn't the presidents responsibility to attend to your day to day needs. If you are having trouble there please contact your LOCAL government first. Please read the 10th amendment to the constitution, better yet, here it is: " The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."
