is it OK to cover a lawn mower outside with a tarp?

of will the weather still get to it somehow and hurt the mower. Thanks

We do, and wait till it is cooled off.
Never had any problems.

Not while hot, also make sure the tarp is clean. If there are any chemicals on it, the heat from the under side of the tarp could cause a reaction.

It should be fine. I wouldn't cover it while the mower is still hot.

yeah just make sure it wont fly away if it rains
