So, this has happened to me a lot and I am wondering if it has happened to anyone else. Do you ever go into an elevator, push a button and then someone else comes in on another floor and pushes your same button even though it has already been pushed?

Sure, or they push the one to go down, so it naturally heads there first, then back up again to the floor you got off on, only to have more people pile in and push the down button AGAIN, so you just might as well get off and use the escalator or the elevator at the opposite end of the store, just because it'd probably be faster...

yeah. but i cant complaine because i do it because im a dork and things eisly ammuse me and i like pressing the button but if there is some one in front of the buttons i wont push accros just so i can hit the button.

I hate that. It makes me want to push the open door button and just stare at them. "What? I thought we were taking turns pushing buttons pointlessly"

Sure, Maybe they think when the light goes out the button has been activated. Their probably just hoping it makes the door(s) close faster.

Yes. What is even funnier is when there is only two floors and they feel the need to say "going up" or "going down"

Those people are insecure elevator riders or they have OCD and cant help themselves. They are like Monk and have to touch everything

yeah then they try to pull their hand away fast after they realize it was already lit and then they get off at the wrong floor to avoid your insults, I LOVE THAT!
