I seriously doubt you are asking the correct question. The library should NOT be REQUIRED to carry ANY given book. The question I choose to answer is exactly opposite the one you asked.

i would think that it should be allowed. the problem the school is concerned about is probably that it may give kids an idea to do this and increase the problem. it's kind of like media sometimes does not give a lot of attention to some crimes because it inspires copy kats. the is a segment of population that is a little odd.

i think that a majority of teens are old enough to handle the subject matter . maybe it should require a parental permission form. give the parents a choice if they want their teen reading it. if they know their teen is reading it , then they would be able to discuss the topic with the teen . would be good for teens and parents to have opportunity to communicate more.

Yes. As far as I know book banning was banished LONG ago.

Are you a cutter?

What roadblocks have you encountered about this book NOT being in the library? Seek out the counselor in the school or the school liaison officer.

I wish you well!

yeah it should be allowed in school. It should teach students the danger of cutting and it is a disease that should be reported if you suspect you or some else has it.

I think if it is deemed a helpful book. It saddens me as an adult when I think of all the 'cutting' references. Saddens me a lot.
