I don't know why? I think the coffee is over roasted and tastes awful. Perhaps it is because people have their coffee dressed up with additives so that they don't sense the taste of the coffee. When you buy fresh roasted beans, grind them yourself, and clean your own machines you get the best coffee anyway (cheaper too).

I do like their lattes and espressos. I don't care for the regular coffee, but Starbucks is not a place you buy regular coffee.
What kind of coffee do you buy?

I really like the coffee there. I don't add sugar to my coffee either.

I have been wondering this myself. I bought a cup @ the museum. something ridiculous like $5 for a large black coffee. tasted like someone washed their gymsocks in it.

because when you hold a 5 dollar regular coffee in your hand as you walk around you are saying to all the poor people "bite me".
