and also what time of year is best weather wise. I don't mind the heat and haven't planned on a date yet, so I am open to any time of year. Also Marrakech is my starting point.
Thanks

The best beach is certainly Kabila (between Tetouan and Ceuta). The sand is white (really, not yellow) and the sea is so clean that you can see your feet. It's not too hot, no waves at all and you'll find people from all over the world. I've been there. It's a real paradise.

I was just to Agadir and there was nothing dirty about it.

By far the best (and most famous) beach in Morocco is in Agadir. If you want something a little more quaint go up near Rabat to Temara Plage... They are going through incredible construction because of its beautiful beaches there but right now not many people know about it although I have seen it mentioned briefly in travel guides.

** Note about Agadir... There are small German airlines (and may be some from other countries as well) that fly directly into and out of Agadir and NOT into Casablanca. In the summertime (now) you will find a lot of non-muslim Europeans with their... European ways. Although I didn't see anything wrong at the beach, I did see nude sunbathing (topless) at the apartments where I was staying (Hotel Tislet). I mentioned it to the proprietor and he kicked them out, but be warned it is not unusual to see speedos, skimpy bikinis, etc... on the beach and in the restaurants.

a mixture of the two. quite a number of the seashores are abandoned, relies upon what area you're speaking approximately. I certainly have been to the seashores between Essaouira and Agadir and around Tiznit and observed not often absolutely everyone. There are some very notably homes and apartments via the sea coast in all factors and absolutely everyone can stay in them. i grew to become into on an extremely alluring sea coast final 3 hundred and sixty 5 days and there have been purely some locals and one cafe. I certainly have yet to bypass to the north around Tangier so can not remark on that area.

Agadir has a great beach but i think there's a lot others that are little known and not far from the main cities.
"Oualidia" is my pick, it's just two hours away from Marrakesh and Casablanca, it is situated between el Jadida and Safi, the best time to go there : anytime of year but in August.

The best beach is Agadir and the surrounding area.

Weather is best now. It is very nice between April and October. The rest is good too. Dec, Jan, Feb in my opinion is not beach weather but I see Europeans in bathing suits at the beach all year long. Must be warm for them :))

My husband said NOT AGADIR (though he loves Agadir). That was actually the first thing he said when I read the question LOL. Then he said El Madayk by Tetouan is the best...it's on the Mediterranean. The Summer is the best...but you still have time this year even. :)

edit: He said Agadir WAS once the best but it's too dirty now and they don't clean it.

most of the Moroccan beaches are good.
try the mediteranean coast : Tangier area, Madiak, Ouad Laou.
Atlantic ocean : Moulay Bouslham, Bouznika, Essaouira (for surf), Agadir and the very south Dakhla
have a nice time
