5cos^(2)x-5sin^(2)x+sinx+cosx

5 - 5sin^(2)x - 5sin^(2)x+sinx+cosx

5 - 10sin^(2)x+sinx+cosx

5 - 10sin^(2)x + 0.5sin (2x)

5 - 5(1 - cos 2x) + 0.5sin (2x)

cos (2x) + 0.5sin (2x)

I think that's the best you can do in this problem!!, just remember trigonometric identities, I've used some of them here.
