You can apply anytime you want. Doenst mean you will get it. Its very difficult to answer that question without having any idea of what you do.

I will give you an example. I was doing a loan for somebody that worked at the Gap. I took the loan application, he was a sales person. Called me a week later said he got a raise he was assistant manager. Called me a week after that and said the manager quit now he was a manager.

Other side, A bank hired me as a loan officer 17 years ago, while I worked there they made a girl assistant manager. I still bank with them. But moved to another city. She moved too. 17 years later she is still assistant manager.

I think it depends on if you job is high turn over or low turnover. Some places being a manager is just a name alone. They are manager until they finish High School or College. Once they are done, they make more as the bottom person somewhere else. If being manager where you work is just a job or a stepping stone until you finish high school or college. I think 1 day is enough. If being a manager will be a 30 year career at this place. I would think it would take 5-15 years.

I have a runner that works for my company just running crap all over the place. He makes more then some of the managers I do loans for. So take that into consideration, if the manager is making under 18 bucks and hour 6 months is more then plenty.

Good Luck

there is no average time. How long it takes to learn all the duty / job requirements is how long it takes, could be 6 months or 6 years. Good Luck
