It's not bad,..but maybe it's not right. There's that tendency to somehow feel either jealous or vain. You may envy someone who's got more in life or in looks than you do. You may feel so proud about yourself and look down at another who you think is lesser than you are. Remember always that in our being different, we are all equal in the eyes of The Great One.
Each one is unique in his own way. So let's enjoy who and what we are with all the qualities (seen or unseen) bestowed on us individually, and learn to appreciate what others have for themselves.

I usually compare my skin, just because I am 25 and I still cannot seem to get rid of the teenage skin even though I have tried everything. But comparing is a bad way to define yourself.

I do think that remembering how an ex-boyfriend behaved while he was cheating on you is a good example for the future. And that is basically to say that past experiences can help you with future problems. That does not mean go ahead and compare every guy to your ex. It is just to say keep an eye out for similar behavior in people that could lead to potential future problems.

Police do it all the time, its called profiling. Again, it doesn't mean they are always right, but the have a good idea about whose the criminal based on the behavior of both suspects.

No
There is wisdom in knowing what to say and what not to say, what to do and what not to do. What is good and what is bad. What is wrong and what is right. Comparisons often show this.
We live in a world that tries philosophy on everything and make things or people that do wrong seem right . And tell you it is wrong to compare. That there is no wrong or right just how you view it. Than along comes someone who talks plainly and blunt and the crowd shifts again. Why? Because they compare the two
If we want to be Robots with no free will than no comparison is necessary. No one needs an opinion . All can behave exactly the same.
We are created with special mental and emotional qualities.ability to think, weigh matters, make decisions, and know right from wrong. This, free will was to be based on intelligent "choice." We were not made like mindless robots having no will of our own. Nor were we created to act out of instinct as were the animals. Instead, our marvelous brain was designed to work in harmony with our freedom of "choice."
And we also have set certain boundries (by choice and how far we compare is up to many)
But to say it is Bad--No way!!

Some might not like it--but that is another issue isn't it?

oh!
comparison!
showing you are exceptional and outstanding.
if somebody is making comparison with you then there is something special in you.
don't worry !
take it positively and comparison is opening ways for you to move farther.
comparison is only possible and it is logical
when two people almost have equal traits
means very minor difference.
then comparison is made which one is better.
some people want privacy and they are happy over what they are doing and what they have and if someone is making comaprison that disturbs their lives and privacy
comaprison is good when you are not hurting the feeling of anybody rather appreciating his traits too.
but if you are hurting then comparison is bad and do tell that person that i have little heart i can not bear this.
people with flexible behavior always appreciate comparison.
great are those people because they know
comparison is their friend and helps them to do further progress.
but some people are jealous and they are unable to do anything so they can not see you on the top
fot the sake of compressing a person they make comparison in dishonest way
in such a way where the actual traits which are good one are converted into bad by them this is possible only when people who are jealous , envious make lobby against that successive person.
well
comparison is the knock at your door to tell you
be ready for exploring new horizons.

No. Comparing is a good thing. Criticizing differences is a bad thing. Comparing opens our minds to new ideas and ways, helps us select what is right for us and helps us determine who we are as a person.

We are living in a very competetive world...so prety much you compare everything. Unless you are some sort of trying to be a philosopher like me...the other me doesnt share this atitude. It is not comparing which is bad...its ...its purpose that makes it bad or good. If you are comparing yourself to be a good person...I dont see the badness of the comparison. You know what I mean??

Yes. It is bad to compare because each individual has different ways in their own manner. You cannot find a character of the same person. Different folk, different strokes as the saying goes.

If people are being compared they usually talk on the character, the job they have, the wealth, the love-life, anything a person has that constitute his totality as a person.

I had a boyfriend a long time ago who asked me to marry him. There were 3 reasons I refused. I didn't love him and he called me collect to ask! Finally, he told me how he had taken me and another girl on the same date - dinner and the same movie. He had compared our reactions to the movie and I came out ahead of her. After that I could never be interested in him at all. People want to be special to you and to themselves - not in some kind of stupid competition. Naturally, I do compare somethings I do to what others do, but it usually makes me feel a bit unclean.

False if you look at any benchmark test amd falls behind intel processor , the cores doesn't make the difference just the architecture of the processor , truely intel has work on making the best processor on the market and they have succeeded , if you put a i7-2600k to a amd fx 8150 the amd processor would lose every time it's not the processor having 4.0 ghz to a 3.7 ghz it really again as i say the architecture of the processor, but amd is still more bang for your bucks performance wise intel is the better processor , until amd comes up with a good processor intel will still out perform them
