All democrat supporters want the war over at the cost of losing even. Why will the democrats authorize money for the war to continue dispite what their supporters want?

Of course not everybody in the country is against the war. But if you listen to polls you'd think it was true. If you listen to Democrats you'd think it was the truth. Except they'd say that a small powerful minority out there has control over the entire country or something like that, apparently. Because everybody is against the war but nobody is willing to end it.

The problem is that we are already in Iraq. I can argue all day that this war is a stupid pointless waste of lives and money and should have never been started, but it's not going to change the reality that we are in that mess and what we should or should not do now is a lot more complicated.
Simply exiting Iraq at this point may not be the best strategy and may not be in our best interests. There is just too much at stake to make another grave mistake at this point. I am not going to pretend that I know the right answer of what our strategy should be today. This is the time we need somebody in power who will have the brains, experise and open mind to come up with the right plan.

They are a bunch of spineless politicos who will never, ever step up and deliver on their election-time rhetoric. That is why since 1980 it is basically a minor party that happens to occasionally stumble into majority positions.

For some reason, right now Democrats are weak and voiceless-- Which sucks, but luckily we have a president like Bush who, by his incompetence, is helping ensure that a democrat will be the next president.
