A La Will Smith, who listens to the slowest of ballads full blast-
I saw him in an interview on TV, he said that all music should be played so that the house is ready to fall down.
I love him, I hate the idea.
Anyway, we live in a society that has many, not all, many people who don't know the meaning of "Less is more".

Music sounds better when it's turned up loud and you can feel the beat in your chest, even if it's not your favorite song. But if it is, it makes it all the more fun. Who doesn't wanna jam to their favorite song? Life would be so pointless without loud, pulsating music.

I'd say it's because when your caught up in the moment you just go with the flow and just blast up the music I should know I do it all the time! Lol! :)

I just feel the music more that way...I love to sing along real loudly and dance my tush off(rarely I do this) but when I do I go all out!!! Now how could I do that if I left it at a low level? Its impossible..LOL

So every part of the body can hear it, not just the ears. Also its sort of liberating also to pump ure music to the max and rock out!

Because music soothes, so there is a subconscious wish
to be enveloped by it, a mental womb so to speak. So we
turn it up so that the size is adequate to accomodate.

well in my case, i feel like i can get more into the song. also it just makes the song feel that much more powerful, and i feel more "connected" to it in a sense. to you blasting music may be odd, but to me its the exact opposite. people who dont blast their music sometimes looks odd to me. lol but thats just me. =]
