It's a continent that has the best and the worst of things.
Interesting that none of the ones above me mention poverty, AIDS, and that - since colonialism ended - local despotic rulers have wasted huge amounts of money (plus put countless billions into their own Swiss bank accounts) donated from the West and derived from sale of natural resources.
Nobody mentions the "tribal disputes" in Darfur, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, and Liberia or the civil war in the D. R. of Congo.

It think it is a very, very beautiful continent. I think Cameroon particully is one of the most beautiful, it is nicknamed in french, one of its main languages, besides english, " MINI AFRIQUE". Just a shame that such a beauiful continent is riddled with problems of corrupt governments, illness, poverty, etc.

Nice continent...very spacious...eclectic cultures...varied climates...
I personally know people from Nigeria, Liberia, Ethiopia, Burkina Faso, Sudan....nice people!
