Its blowing out of the front windshield where the defrost air comes from, not through the vents.

There's a little door inside the dashboard that directs where the air goes. You set the air path by selecting the desired position on the climate control, and suction from the engine is used to move the door where you want it. If that flow of suction, or vacuum, gets cut off then the system defaults to front defrost.

This shouldn't be expensive to get fixed but you might want to look under the hood first. Look for small hoses that are disconnected or broken, going from a box high up on your firewall (divides the engine and passenger compartments) to the intake manifold or air intake, which naturally produces a vacuum as the cylinders drawn in fuel and air to make the motor run. Your user manual will tell you where the air filter is. Follow from the filter to the engine and look for little tubes coming off. Trace each one as far as you can and you might get lucky and find the loose or broken one. If it's broken cut off a small piece and take it into the auto parts store, they'll probably just give you enough to reconnect the vacuum.

Please tell us what happens, and stay cool on that drive to school!

is it blowing out of any other vent? does it work when the fan is on full speed? If that is the case it is a relay or fuse on your blower motor.
If it is blowing out of another vent there is a cable that needs to be replaced that switches between the defrost and the dash panel and floor, etc
If it is none of those then your blower motor is probably shot
