It depends on whether you believe in the product or not.
If you believe in the product then tell people why you think they need the product.
If you do not believe in the product then find another product to sell.

Present the product in the best possible light and explain to the consumer why he must have it if he is to be happy, clean, prosperous and wise.

Tell them the benefits of the product. What can it do for them. Thats all people care about. They're thinking "and what does this do for me??" if this question is answered then they'll buy anything. Plus it helps if they are rich!

Find people who have no sales resistance and are afraid of salesmen for that reason. Get your "foot in the door", get into the house and make your pitch. They will most likely buy just to get rid of you.
