I am in a contest with my friend and i say that Chili peppers are better, but he says sublime is. Who is right?

I am in love with you for asking this question about my two favorite bands!
The answer- they're incomparable. The Red Hot Chili Peppers definatly have a 'cleaner' sound-even there funky older stuff sounds more polished than most of sublime (ommitting the self titled album of course), but how much of that is due to the better recording oppertunites RHCP had?
Both bands are wonderful genre fusers...
rhcp combines some rap with funk and punk
sublime mixes the punk reggae ska
If were factoring success in, it's still a draw. Im sure RHCP has more finicial success, after twenty three years of selling tickets/music. But sublime has an incrediably dedicated following, so many rhcp fans have heard like three songs. if you love sublime, you usually love the whole deal- all the old stuff, not just one album, ya know? and for a band thats been out of action for eleven years, sublime still has a huge group of die hard fans.
so after all that rambling, what's my answer...
both bands are phenomenal in two very different ways.

oo thats tough, both are great but i got to say the chili peppers because their musicians are better and i kind of think their style is a little better even though i love sublime
